If its Yes, Yes and another yes?! Then do join us for these regular fun and relaxed ceramic handbuilding workshops in the lovely suburb of Mickleover in Derby.

As a local artist i wanted to start to build a local art community, where we can explore the amazing medium of clay in a fun and nurturing way!

Clay workshops near you!

We will learn a variety of hand - building and glazing techniques with a different activity every session, this could be anything from ceramic tiles to making animal sculptures ( you are also welcome to work on your own projects of course ). This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill and meet new people in a creative and friendly environment.

Designed as regular sessions you may make a piece in one session and glaze/ paint your amazing creation in another.

Whether your new to clay or you have lots of experience all abilities are welcome. Children from age 6 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult please contact me with any queries regarding accessibility.

Included in the price of each session is the use of my equipment and tools, clay for the activity and all firing and glazing. Extra items like more or different clays can be purchased during the workshop via cash or card payment.

Mickleover community Centre

The clay Club is based at the lovely Mickleover Community Centre, in the heart of the village.

There is ample parking behind the centre, and easy access for all.

Mickleover Community Centre has been running since 1989. Previously a school from the late 1800s to 1987. Today they have a lovely vibrant centre, with a fabulous community run café and gift shop. 100% of what you spend at The Old School Tea Rooms ( as well as the clay club workshops! ) goes to help maintain Mickleover Community Centre.
